Reflexive Pronouns (الضمائر الانعكاسية)

We use reflexive pronouns when the subject and object refer to the same person or thing. We can also use them for emphasis.

I → myself | You → yourself/yourselves
He → himself | She → herself | It → itself
We → ourselves | They → themselves
Reflexive action: He taught himself to play the guitar.
Emphasis: I will fix the computer myself.
After a preposition: She spoke to herself quietly.

Common Errors

Use a reflexive pronoun only when it is needed and the sentence allows it.

❌ He arrived himself. → ✅ He arrived.
❌ Sara taught himself English. → ✅ Sara taught herself English.
✅ He enjoyed himself at the party.
