A good paragraph has a clear structure: a main idea, supporting details, and a conclusion.
Paragraph Structure
- Topic Sentence: Introduces the main idea of the paragraph.
- Supporting Sentences: Give details, examples, or reasons to explain the topic sentence.
- Concluding Sentence: Summarizes the main point or offers a final thought.
Example:

Recycling is one of the most effective ways for individuals to help the environment.
[Supporting Sentence]
It reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills and conserves natural resources like timber, water, and minerals.
