Making Predictions When You Read
Guessing what a text is about before you read helps you understand it better.
- Look at Titles & Headings: They tell you the main topic. (العناوين)
- Look at Pictures: They give visual clues about the topic. (الصور)
- Read the First Sentence: It often contains the main idea. (الجملة الأولى)
- Find Known Words: Familiar words help you guess the topic. (الكلمات المألوفة)
- Guess and Check: Make a guess and see if you were right as you read. (خمن وتحقق)
