Capitalization and Punctuation

These rules help you write sentences correctly so others can understand you.

Capitalization (Using Big Letters)

  • First word of a sentence. (أول كلمة)
  • The pronoun "I". (أنا)
  • Proper Nouns (Sarah, Paris, Monday). (الأسماء الخاصة)
  • First word of a quote. (الاقتباس)

Punctuation (Using Marks)

  • Period (.) to end a statement. (نقطة)
  • Question Mark (?) to end a question. (علامة استفهام)
  • Exclamation Mark (!) for strong feelings. (علامة تعجب)
  • Comma (,) to separate words in a list. (فاصلة)
