Unit 2: Lesson 2: Talking About What You Like

This lesson will teach you how to say what you like and ask others what they like.

Saying What You Like

  • "I like..." (أحب...)
  • "I love..." (أُحبّ كثيرًا...)
  • "I prefer..." (أُفضّل...)
  • "I would rather..." (أفضّل أن...)

Asking About Likes

  • "What do you like?" (ماذا تحب؟)
  • "Do you prefer... or...?" (هل تُفضّل... أم...؟)
  • "Which do you like better...?" (أيّهما تحب أكثر...؟)

Useful Phrases (Idioms)

  • That's interesting! (هذا مثير للاهتمام!) (To show you are listening)
  • It's a piece of cake! (إنها قطعة كعك!) (To say something is easy)
  • I need to hit the books. (أحتاج أن أذاكر بجد.) (To say you need to study a lot)
